This course is suitable for staff who plan to be a designated fire warden or those who already are one.

The duration of Phoenix’s Fire Marshal Training course depends on the study method:

  • When studied in-house, the course can be delivered in a half day.

  • When studied through e-Learning, the course can be completed in approximately 90 minutes. 

The fire warden course covers the following topics:

  • Reasons for managing health and safety – moral, economic and legal

  • Legal requirements for fire safety

  • Fire hazards, including the fire triangle

  • Fire precautions

  • Role of a fire warden/marshal

  • Fire extinguishers

The learning outcome of the Fire Marshal Training course is:

  • To equip delegates with the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out their fire warden/marshal duties effectively

The e-Learning course is assessed progressively, giving learners the opportunity to gauge their understanding before moving forwards. There is also a multiple-choice assessment at the end of the course, with results provided immediately. 

The in-house course does not have an assessment, but one can be provided on request.

The course is not assessed, however on request and assessment can be produced and delivered at the end of the course
